You don’t need to be perfect!
8 years ago, I knew I wanted to start an online business.
But for a long time, I didn’t know what it would look like.
So I started out with a blog and simply published posts for a while.
It was fun and expanding! One blog post even got featured on a big community website, which also sent me my first email subscribers!
But, at this time in my life, I was feeling so insecure, and didn’t know what I should be sharing, or doing for my business.
So at some point, I journalled with this question in mind and my intuïtion came through clearly: “Share your story – as it is, unfolding”.
During in that journalling session, I saw that I didn’t need to be perfect.
I could simply share my story as it unfolded while I navigated this thing called spiritual awakening.
Sounds good, right?
Well, it’s 5 years later now, and I’m just stepping into that advice!
Because before, my insecurity held me back. I was afraid of showing my true self and thought I had to show up “perfect” in every way.
I was so afraid of being vulnerable and open (and getting rejected), that it took me 5 years to get comfortable enough showing myself.
Now, I know it doesn’t have to take that long for you!
But before sharing about that, let me tell you what happened when I was being inauthentic in my business.
Very little 😉
Without my personal stories and experiences, whatever I wrote turned into dry articles, which made me cringe when I read them back.
Back then, I didn’t know *why* all this was.
I didn’t see why my work would never grow past a certain point.
Why I’d keep stopping and would lose my momentum.
Now I know it’s because I simply wasn’t being real.
I don’t share this with judgment to my former self – I appreciate that girl a lot!
I share it because this is part of my mission in my work: To spark authenticity, bring vulnerability and to help you lose the shame that has been around sharing your work.
The place this helped *me* get to is: I’m not looking for permission or validation anymore when I show up. I simply share.
And today, my stories bring the juice + open-ness to an otherwise boring instructional post.
I want to let you know that you can also do that, freely, without the incessant worry of what others will think of you. (And that it doesn’t have to take as long as it took me ;-)).
You can stand on the shoulders of the ones who went before you and quantum-leap your authentic visibility.
You are enough the way YOU ARE.
And sharing *that* magic juice, will make your visibilty and your business flourish.
You know what you need to do.
Just take that next, scary but exciting step.
